Well, it's taken long enough, but I finally broke WWE 12 out. Instead of re-making my usual cast of heroines for another year, I decided this time that I would use the create-a-wrestler download feature and make a roster of epic dream matches the world has been waiting for (see above image). This, of course, is before I found out that WWE 12's online is fucked beyond belief, and apparently has been since launch; It takes almost as long to download a fucking wrestler as it does to just make her from a formula. Still, though, I've rounded up an interesting cast of characters, so look for a WWE '12 match at least once a month (possibly more) from here on out. If you have the game yourself and see a CAW up for download you'd like to see featured, by all means let me know, although I guess you could just download her yourself. Well, so much for business as usual, but let me plead my case here: I somehow got sick twice in the shortest month of the year (one stomach bug where I couldn't even keep down half a bowl of white rice, and one horrible cold I'm still fighting off). Anyway, I hope everyone enjoyed the Knockout Kings 2001 month. I was going to post another video today showing off the illegal moves you can do to get yourself disqualified, but honestly, they're not that great (maybe it's just me, but I can barely tell what's happening). Video one has punching in the clinch, and elbows; Two has headbutts and what the game calls low blows, although they just look like, um, elbows. (Also, I couldn't pull the moves off for some reason, so that's me fucking up, not St. John being drunk or whatever.)

So that was February! March is going to be another Rumble Roses month (and, fair warning, my wife is flipping out for Mass Effect 3 coming out). As for April, we'll see - the current plan is another PS2 boxing game that rhymes with Glack and Gruised. Stay tuned :X

Supremacy MMA is here, tonight!

Well, Supremacy MMA kept getting delayed, so imagine my surprise to find a copy of it on my doorstep Friday. Luckily the game has a simulation mode, so I recorded two CPU vs CPU matches. I'm debating doing an entire career mode; The problem with having your game only have two women and no create-a-fighter and making it so the women can only fight each other is that the career mode looks like this:

Whoever you picked: After I beat up (whoever you didn't pick), I was ready to head back East. Imagine my surprise when my trainer called up and told me (whoever you didn't pick) wanted a rematch. I was going to say no until I heard that she said I had a big butt and my butt smelled and I liked to kiss my own butt.

Whoever you picked: After I beat (whoever you didn't pick) again, I thought I was ready to head back east, but...

Anyway, you can see where I'm going with this. What I'd really like to show off more than the story mode is the submission system, but the CPU doesn't seem to want to cooperate with this; I can slam the computer down and start punching and kneeing them, but actually getting a submission hold on is difficult; Even making the opponent a "second player" another controller where I never touch any buttons, the instructions for putting on submission holds doesn't seem to work, and in all the fights I've simmed, the fighters will slam each other on the mat once in a while, but they just elbow and knee each other. This might just be because the two female's fighting styles are kickboxing and muay thai, but I'll keep plugging away and see what I can come up with. In the mean time, enjoy this week's match, and uh, you may not want to watch next week's if you're squeamish.

Well, I gotta admit I didn't think it was going to happen, but Chris Morgan finally lost, and in fact not only lost, but gave up. And who finally vanquished her? Well, if you can't tell from the image there, yes, it's Migiri. Although you now already know who won, if you haven't seen it yet, I recommend you check it out; It's quite a match, and I really thought it was all over once Migiri got hit with that second piledriver, but she really does have the heart of a champion.

So what now? I dunno; I like Migiri a lot, so I guess this is an excuse to put her in more videos. And I guess there's no need to keep the Chris challenge going; After the beating she took, she probably needs a few weeks to recover (if nothing else to ice her face after Migiri hit it with the dreaded flying ass smash).

So that's that - if you got any Migiri requests, hit me with 'em; She's earned her place in the spotlight.

I tried (a little)

Since the Knuckle Pine series (FINALLY) turned out so well, I thought I'd go for a P4-esque ONE MORE! and try to get some Panda Moderns videos, one each of On the Ropes and Pit Viper. (Thus the image for this post. Get it? [Spoilers: It's a panda]) Unforchies, these aren't Flash games like the Pine series; They're stand-alone exes, and both of them are too processor-intensive for my piece of shit old PC I've been using to record windows game footage with. (My new computer is a beast that can handle it easily, but I can't make Hypercam record any sound). The resulting videos are de-synched; The On the Ropes one is just plain desynched, but Pit Viper's video is totally destroyed, in a way that I actually find kind of funny. So, sorry, Panda Moderns, no free advertising. Well, unless people are reading this blog post and go click on the links up there. Heh. Anyway, I might be able to use Fraps since these are standalone EXEs (which is the whole reason I was using Hypercam in the first place - Fraps doesn't recognize the Pine exes as games). We'll see; I already used up half a day futzing with these (my cat helped by running in and hitting the one exact button on the keyboard that stops recording in the middle of the first Pit Viper video). Anyway, here's the messed up videos for your enjoyment. On the Ropes isn't too spectacular (in fact I'm not sure why I uploaded it), but take a peek at Pit Viper. Yeeee.

Well, supposedly I'm signed up for AdSense on this video, although Google asked me if it included "backround music" and video game footage, and I said yes to both. Supposedly it'll be removed if they find a problem with it (and I assume they will), so, uh, keep an eye peeled.

With Valentine’s Day having recently passed, it’s only fair that we say goodbye to the holiday with a bang. But instead of an explosion, “RyonaKing” has decided to attack head on with both fists. Merry Xmas. Namco got me to drop $1.50 or $2 on naughty santa outfits for Soul Calibur 4 just for this video, so make sure I'm getting my money's worth out of it!



So, yeah. I'd like to do a video for some other holidays, but they only have the santa pack for SC4, so I can't make something like Talim in a dreidel outfit beating up Ivy in a menorah costume (although we can all agree that would be fucking awesome). Since Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve both fall on a Wednesday, and I usually put a video up on wednesday, I feel like I should do something special for new year's eve, but what? I toyed with the idea of doing a Fire Pro Returns match that counts down to a bomb exploding, but I don't know; that doesn't really feel like New Year's, does it? Maybe I'm too literal. It's not like I can make a baby with a 2009 sash beating up a old woman with a 2008 sash or something. So I think I'll just put a normal video up and yell IT'S THE LAST MATCH OF 2008!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! in the video discription.

Also I've been thinking about this WAS 1 problem where they removed the wrestlers. Since they removed four, I'm very tempted to just do a WAS Removed Charecter Last Tag Super Beatdown or something. That'll let me knock out all four requests in one match, and hopefully I won't have to fire 1 up again. Of course, it's true that this isn't what people originally requested, but if they were here right now, I'd tell them HEY look over there, and then when they turned around to look where I was pointing, I would run out of the room at maximum speed with wacky cartoon va-va-voom sound effects.

Finally, big news: I finally used my gamebridge to capture a bunch of pictures from Rumble Roses XX. Most of these are from Live, so if you've uploaded a picture yourself, it might be in here! Some of these are naughty and some of these are funny. Not a great video, but it looks like everything's working again. The gamebridge now has to have all four plugs plugged in for S-Video mode; I hope it doesn't effect the picure quality in a negative light. Honestly, I'm just happy to have everything working again. Whew!!

WAS blooper matches / schedule

So, whenever I record a WAS match, if there's more than one take, I've been holding on to the video files, with some vauge idea that I'd be uploading them here. Unless they outright remove wrestlers from 1 to 2, which I don't see happening, I'm probably going to switch over almost full time as soon as 2 gets here. We'll see about charecters whose art changes...

Spot the Difference

I got a good tip from fellow YouTuber (god, makes him sound like a potato, doesn't it?) IzunaOtoshi about recording better looking videos with the gamebridge. So, I tried it out today. First, the normal version, recorded with "Best" settings and uploaded:

So, if you can spot the diffrence....? Either video should look better than the old ones I've been recording using "Good" settings, in any case. Try adding that "&fmt=18" to future videos and see how they look. (I still have a stockpile of lower-quality WAS videos to burn off first, though, so it might not have any effect on future WAS videos for a while.)

I can't decide if she should debut against the bunnygirl - most girls do, but I don't want her to get overexposed - or maybe against the demon. But she already lost her debut match, and I don't want Tifa to lose her debut match. Decisions, decisions!
